SMP develops advanced materials systems for markets including medical and dental applications, fuel cells, printable electronics and displays (PEDs), energy materials and flat panel displays. SMP was created in 1998 when Mid Oaks acquired the technology from the University of New Mexico. Cabot Corp. (NYSE:CBT) acquired SMP in 2003.
